Water Filter is based on research into traditional water purification, reflecting our historical bond with this essential element in desert ecosystems. Originating in the Andes, water flows through rivers, canals, and processes like infiltration and condensation. Pre-Columbian cultures developed techniques using minerals and plants to purify water, which also played a ritual role in cleansing and fertility. The piece contrasts these ancestral practices with today’s industrial contamination and waste.
